David is an experienced finance professional with a long career in senior leadership roles within the residential development and construction sector.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, David began his industry career at Bovis Homes Group PLC, a FTSE 250 housebuilder. He was appointed Group Finance Director in 2002 and became Group Chief Executive in 2008. During his tenure, David successfully led the business through the global financial crisis and into a period of strong growth, doubling housing output by 2016 and significantly improving profitability.

After leaving Bovis Homes in 2017, David moved into a portfolio career. He has since held Chairman roles in a start-up MMC housing business and a care development business founded with colleagues in 2019. Alongside this, he remained on the board of AG Barr plc, where he served as Chair of the Remuneration Committee until 2024.
